Who we are

Megahit Health Organization is a dynamic non-governmental organization at the forefront of addressing critical public health challenges in the Ugandan communities and beyond . Our commitment to improving health outcomes and empowering communities has made us a recognized leader in the field of global health.Our diverse team comprises dedicated professionals, including public health experts, healthcare providers, researchers, and community advocates. Together, we bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, united by a common goal of improving public health. Since our inception, Megahit Health Organization is aiming at contributing to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), by making significant strides in advancing health equity and improving health outcomes. Through our various programs, we are currently:  Conducting health education workshops to a variety of people e.g. Conducting health talks about personal hygiene, menstrual hygiene, HIV/AIDs, benefits of vaccinations and among others.  Implementing disease prevention campaigns e.g. Supporting deworming programmes and vaccination services;  Improving climate change adaptation e.g. Supporting tree planting;  Fostering food security and good nutrition e.g. Supporting the needy to fight extreme hunger;  Providing life-saving healthcare to individuals in underserved communities e.g. Promoting good sanitation and improving water sources; and  Responding to humanitarian crises and conducting disaster or emergency relief operations e.g. Supporting transportation of causalities to hospitals for quick prompt medical interventions.

Our Successful stories

The "Maama na Mwana" (Mother and Child) Initiative

In 2023, our maternal health program in Bugweri district achieved remarkable success. By providing prenatal care, training traditional birth attendants, and establishing a mobile clinic service, we reduced maternal mortality by 50% and increased skilled birth attendance by 70% in the district.

Malaria Prevention Campaign

Our comprehensive malaria prevention program in rural areas , which included distribution of insecticide-treated bed nets, indoor residual spraying, and community education, led to a 40% reduction in malaria cases among children under five.

Youth Sexual Health Education

Our school-based sexual health education program reached 10,000 adolescents in rural schools. This initiative led to a 30% increase in awareness of the challenges early sex behaviors among sexually active teens and a 25% reduction in teenage pregnancies.
